How often do you wash your towel? Some people wash once a week, while some, once a year. The towel is a fertile breeding ground for millions of microbes, especially those found on human skin and on the gut. No wonder the towel is one of the objects that facilitate fecal-oral contamination (literally connecting the two ends of the gut). Worse still, most people keep towels in the bathroom (near the toilet). Every flush of the toilet sends mist with millions of microbes, ranging from H.pylori, salmonella and other deadly bacteria and viruses. When you wash your hands ready for a meal, and dry them with your body towel, there's high chance you are directly ingesting your fecal matter, or, if in a shared lavatory, someone else's faeces. Unless cleaned well, viruses such as human papillomavirus (causes warts, anal cancer and cervical cancer) can be transmitted when towels are shared with infected individuals. So, what to do? 1. Launder towels once a week. 2. Use hot water and det...
The ELITES and WANJIKU. 1)-ELITES: ◆The elites own two critical factors of production-LANDand CAPITAL. ◆They SET the price and WEIGH of what Wanjiku eats, drinks and wears. ◆An ordinary LUO consumes copious volume of Uhuru’s Brookside daily,An ordinary KIKUYU is insured by Ruto’s insurance companies, a KAMBA buys countless gas cylinders from Raila’s Spectre International, a LUHYA enjoy chewing goats delivered from Kibaki and Moi ranches. ◆Elites are tribeless. A LUO ELITE has all the features of a KIKUYU elite. You cannot spot any difference between a POKOMO, a KAMBA, a KALENJIN or a TURKANA "elite". ◆Their taste for quality wine is similar and their language is the same. ◆National borders do not define them. They can live in KENYA today, UGANDA tomorrow and Outer MONGOLIA the next day. ◆Inflation is alien to them. ◆Some of them do not VOTE during elections. NEVERTHELESS,they RULE the voters before, during and after elections. ◆They marry their sons and daughters amongst themselves. ◆MONEY is the liquid that nourishes their SOULS, BODIES and MINDS. ◆Politics is a career ; vehicle they use to get what they want, preserve their wealth and create a better future for their children and children children’s. ◆Their FATE is intertwined. Success of one is a success of all. Loss of one is a loss of all. ◆When their INTERESTS are well served, the country is at peace. When they disagree amongst themselves on how to share the country’s cake, there is STRIFE, PROTESTS and VIOLENCE in the country. Should we blame them for being who they are? No. Why-Wanjiku make them be. 2)-WANJIKU: Wanjiku is an enthusiastic voter. ■She keeps track of politics and holds a grudge against fellow Wanjiku. ■She believes you are either with us or against us. ■She complains about the weather, the shape of the Moon, the Stars and the Sun. ■She loves the elites, aspires to be like them and defends them by all means (as long as they belong to HER tribe). ■To her, justice is served when the “other tribe” accounts for its actions , not her tribe! ■Corruption is practiced by the others. ■She loves stereotypes. The way others eat, dress, walk, dance, talk is her patented seal. ■Her anger is real. She is easily incited to violence against her fellow Wanjiku. ■To her, there is no difference between mass demonstrations, mass action, mass plunder, mass slaughter, mass anger, mass assault, mass theft and mass destruction. They are all the same thing and are committed against fellow Wanjiku. ■When instructed by her political demigods, she PLOTS harm against her neighbor, who lives trustfully near her. ■Perversity of mouth and corrupt talk of her tribal leaders is a flame she embraces dearly. ■She is like a ball. She can be kicked left, right, up and down by political elites. A puppet that dances to all sorts of political tunes. ■She believes her destiny is tethered to the fate of her tribal leader. ■She is easily stirred to dissension. ■However, when everything is said and done, she shares three things with the political elite: •She grows up (physically), •breathes oxygen, •and dies. The three are God given. Not acquired. Question- What is her salvation? And I am left to wonder: 1)-Is this COUNTRY democratised or are we just witch hunting? 2)-Do I have to change my name to be ''politically correct"?
