How often do you wash your towel? Some people wash once a week, while some, once a year. The towel is a fertile breeding ground for millions of microbes, especially those found on human skin and on the gut. No wonder the towel is one of the objects that facilitate fecal-oral contamination (literally connecting the two ends of the gut). Worse still, most people keep towels in the bathroom (near the toilet). Every flush of the toilet sends mist with millions of microbes, ranging from H.pylori, salmonella and other deadly bacteria and viruses. When you wash your hands ready for a meal, and dry them with your body towel, there's high chance you are directly ingesting your fecal matter, or, if in a shared lavatory, someone else's faeces. Unless cleaned well, viruses such as human papillomavirus (causes warts, anal cancer and cervical cancer) can be transmitted when towels are shared with infected individuals. So, what to do? 1. A Nigerian bread seller kickstarted her career as a model after she accidentally photobombed a popstar.
English musician Tinie Tempah and photographer and singer Ty Bello were in the midst of a photoshoot in Nigeria when they were photobombed by a bread seller carrying a large bag of bread atop her head. According to the Huffington Post there was some confusion on set when she walked upon the scene. Bello wrote on Instagram:
“Some people asking her to leave the set and others asking her to stay. I signaled [to ask] if it was ok to take her photograph and she agreed, and I pressed on my shutter so she could move ahead.
“I was wrong to have paid her such little attention. Every frame with her in it was perfect.”
Bello was captivated by the photos with the mysterious woman. Bello wrote on her Instagram:
“Who is she? Every one has been asking if this lady is a model… It was just perfect coincidence.”
The Cinderella search for the unnamed woman selling bread from the photo began. It turned out that the woman was Olajumoke Orisaguna, 27, a mother of two.
After speaking with Bello, Orisaguna signed a modeling contract and was featured on the cover of This Day Style. Bello wrote to fans that she had found Orisaguna on Feb. 4:
“So I found her… our beauty from the @tiniegram shoot and boy have I got a fantastic story to share with you all. Meeting and photographing her has inspired us all. We can’t wait for the good that will come to her from all of this to unfold.”
Orisaguna’s real life fairy tale story is quite remarkable. She also posed in one of her photos with her second child, 14-month-old Grace. Bello wrote:
“This just made me cry. She really is a blessed woman with an amazing story. I almost can’t believe it.”
