Love Him Or Hate Him, Ruto Will Be The 5th President Of Kenya

By Albert Nyakundi Amenya (The Banana Peddler) In my writings, I have said a lot of bad things about the person of Deputy President in the past. I have been one of his fiercest critics. I have strongly berated him before in this space because of his stubbornness towards NASA. I have rechristened him with a torrent of nomenclatures but that was then. On the other hand, I have said time without number that in Kenya, there are only two political cognoscenti – Prime Minister Raila Odinga and His Excellency Deputy President William Samoei Arap Ruto. The rest are just cankerworms and caterpillars. You are at liberty to chuckle at your own risk. Unregretfully however, Today, I want highlight a few critical facts about DP William Ruto. My fellow NASA supporters may feel discombobulated by the message as encompassed, but it is the truth nevertheless. Hate him or love him, Ruto is one of the most powerful politicians. He is one of the bravest men having risen from the woods. He is an i...

JUBILEE IN TOTAL "UMBRA"

Everytime jubilee comes up with a propaganda it back fires. A day to supreme court detailed judgement through 'wambugu' they petitioned justice mwilu and lenaola for meeting opposition lawyers during the court proceedings and leaked the same petition to the standard expecting outbursts from kenyans having known that the desenting two judges would read a detailed judgement. The expectations failed, there were no outbursts and as we speak lenaola has directed his lawyers to sue state house official alongside the standard. One magret orengo who has no relation with james orengo a business partner of mwilu has sued safaricom for illegally spying and leaking her tel records. Tuju wrote to Tobiko to investigate mudavadi and orengo for hacking i e b c not remembering that jubilèe his party is categorical that servers were never hacked and to prove the case servers would be opened for scrutiny something jubilee is against . Now they have written to jsc to investigate registrar of cour...

A BLINDED TRUST

Politicians or others in sensitive positions often place their personal assets (including investment income) into blind trusts, to avoid public scrutiny and accusations of conflicts of interest when they direct government funds to the private sector. Blind trusts are generally used when a settlor (sometimes called a trustor or donor) wishes to keep the beneficiary unaware of the specific assets in the trust, such as to avoid conflict of interests between the beneficiary and the investments.... Our leaders will kill us with their personal interest but the public is more worse Could it be the.. the Gabage in Gabage out.... Yesterday at 15:32·Public

How Cord leader Raila Odinga Tricked President Uhuru During William Ole Ntimama Burial Ceremony

By Jackson Omondi Everything was on point. The Jubilee government lined up their political allstars and even had one of their new converts emceeing the event. Having hosted the Maa community leadership at Statehouse, it was time to go for a slam dunk, or so they thought! The pepertual PR fiends saw an opportunity to show the country that they finally had the Maa community on their palms. But CORD supremo Raila Odinga had other ideas. Buoyed by a thunderous ovation and wild cheering , Raila decided to pull a classic political jujitsu move on Jubilants by using their own perceived strength against them! The President’s handlers picked Nkaiserry to emcee the event hoping that the retired general’s military mien would intimidate Cordashians or anybody who wanted to go against the event’s script but they forgot one thing: THE ENIGMA was also an attendee! Jubilee’s breathtaking naivete would come to the fore when the retired general invited RAO to speak! Aware that he had the whole country g...

Hobby Lobby Founder Does a 180 on Trump Over Concerns of Hillary Calling Shots On Supreme Court

One of the endorsements that Trump failed to get during the GOP primary was that of David Green, the CEO of Hobby Lobby. In fact, a few days before Trump swept Super Tuesday in March, Green said of the potential Republican nominee, via Politico: “Our family business that we began with $600, has quite possibly been more successful than Mr. Trump’s, but that doesn’t make either of us qualified to be president. Green added that Trump "scares me to death." Then, he endorsed Florida Senator Marco Rubio's presidential run. After Rubio dropped out, however, Green didn't say much about the presidential race. And he didn't make any comments when Trump got the Republican presidential nomination, either. Now, with election day only 67 days out, Green is talking politics again, and he's endorsing Trump. He says he's doing it because he doesn't trust Hillary Clinton to choose judges who will preserve America's religious liberty. In an editorial for USA Today, G...

Is Party Hopping Law a Flopping Idea?

BY LANGAT MATHEW Ideally, anti-defection laws are temporary measures to consolidate a chaotic party system, but who are we kidding? Ours is a semi democratic system where parties are merely temporary electoral and legislative alliances designed to maximize the election chances of individual politicians. Established democracies value the freedom of individual parliamentary members/candidates to switch parties. They regard switching parties as compatible with democratic values and see anti-defection laws as infringements on political freedoms. It may help to learn from democratic nations like New-Zealand and South Africa who once had but abandoned such laws. In a political system that is still struggling to mold credence and credibility in their elections, it is a step in an uncertain direction to restrain candidates from being ideologically (or otherwise) at variance with their parties. Since multy-party democracy, the lack of political consistency and unbridled party-switching by polit...

SUNDAY REFLECTION BY RAILA ODINGA

Nelson Mandela was the first black President of the Republic of South Africa. By any standard, Madiba, as he was fondly referred to by those who loved him, lived a robust, fulfilling and impactful life. Few people have had as much impact on history as Madiba had. History will remember him as one of the greatest men who ever lived – an incredibly selfless man who made so much of a sacrifice to re-write the history of generations of South Africans and the world. During his lifetime Mandela inspired us with his numerous words of wisdom, etched in our memories till tomorrow. And his words remain evergreen. Today, I wish to share with our young people what I feel were his most profound words - "It always seems impossible until it is done!" Together, we can do it, we can change our country for future generations!

RAILA ODINGA MUST ALSO LEARN HOW TO USE MONEY

ODM has lost alot of allies and strongholds. We lost Rift valley and Kuria. We are losing kisii and western. Our only sure strongholds now are Luo Nyanza and Coast.(A total of 2.1 million votes). If Uhuruto can buy Namwamba and team with only ksh.100 million...the question is...Why cant Raila offer the same amount just to keep them??...Raila is a billionnaire, ksh.100 million is nothing, even ksh. 500 million is still nothing to Raila..IT IS 13 MONTHS TO ELECTION,WE ONLY HAVE ONE BULLET...we cannot shoot aimlessly...WE must shoot to kill...IF ALL IT TAKES TO KEEP CORD FROM BREAKING IS MONEY...then we must also spend money....If Raila fears spending his own money,we as ODM youths are ready to raise over ksh.20 billion from the Indian businessmen of Kisumu just to keep CORD fraternity together and strong...RAILA MUST KNOW THAT THE NEXT ELECTION WILL BE THE GREATEST FIGHT OF HIS LIFE....HE WILL EITHER SINK OR SWIM..HE EITHER LEAVES HIS MONEY IN FOREIGN BANK ACCOUNTS.....OR HE WITHDRAWS IT AN...

On Ababu Namwamba's Exit, Varied Criticism and the Luyha Nation

On Ababu Namwamba's Exit, Varied Criticism and the Luyha Nation In our African set up, it is prudent for a boy who is approaching the threshold of manhood to move out of his parents' home to start one of his own. He cannot continue sitting in the kitchen and watch his mother cook. He cannot continue sitting, waiting to fatten on the crumbs falling off his father's table. He must go out in the wild and hunt his own beast. This is how homes and communities grow. This is how development is realized. One has to move out of their comfort zones, take risks and be strong-willed to succeed. Ababu Namwamba's resignation as the Secretary General of ODM can be interpreted in the context of the above scenario. But his move has invited mixed reactions and criticism. Very few people have praised him. I hear some say that his is political suicide. Some say his political career is over and he will lose his seat next year. Others say he has failed his people-- the Luyha's and proved...

Cord, now wants a rotational presidency - Okay, forget democracy.

By Dennis Itumbi The kind of Democracy we are told they fought for in the trenches. I do not doubt History, I know some leaders did fight for Multi Party democracy. Why rotational Presidency? To deal with domination by two tribes. Very well. First, like Senator Kipchumba Murkomen rightly observes, why not start the rotational idea at Cord leadership level? Finally, on that issue, Cord has always said they are sure the party will win the 2017 elections. The problem they told us was IEBC. Now that has been agreed upon. Next issue introduced. My conclusion, the party is no longer interested in Elections. They want to join Government through dialogue and other undemocratic means. Hon. Raila Odinga also wants a new voters register, why? To remove dead voters. Almost certainly, people will always die, some out of natural causes, others of accidents etc. so even a new register will have dead voters before ballots are cast...will we need a new register again? The Cord games will continue, the ...

Reasons for Dumping Raila Kalonzo CORD for Uhuru’s Jubilee Party

This is meant for those asking me why Jubilee and Not Cord! It is all a gamble, whether in Cord or Jubilee,Hakuna Guarantee kwa Siasa! Mapambano all through and I love it that way. A fighting chance is all I ask for and from past experience Jubilee has been more consistent in offering its Aspirants a much more fair fighting chance for their Party ticket both during the last General election and the by-elections that have followed. The same cannot be said of CORD,I challenge anyone to provide evidence to the Contrary and I will present evidence to support that Jubilee has more internal democracy and attempts and puts more effort into conducting free and fair Party Primaries/Nominations for the Various positions on offer as Compared to their CORD colleagues. That to me is very important. Secondly other than in the manner they Conduct their Party Primaries another Notable sign of more internal Democracy is how Jubilee are at times able to take opposing positions within the same Coalition o...

HOW Luos in ODM led by John Mbadi Frustrated Ababu Namwamba and other Non -Luo Party officials forcing them to Resign

By Michael Okoth I’ve deliberately been avoiding commenting on this continuing ODM v/s Ababu Namwamba circus because I’d foreseen all these current political happenings and loudly protested against the open and radical Luonization and balkanization of the ODM party by a small clique of some nondescript Luo politicians led by Hon John Mbadi of Suba. The utter contempt with which this vociferous gang (Mbadi and Co) treated the non-luo party officials under the guise of pursuing and reinforcing loyalty for the person of Raila Odinga, and realized and stated that if we are not careful,ODM would be reduced to a shell incapable of posing any reasonable political threat at the national stage by 2017. Some of us have watched in anguish as the once giant international political movement steadily got eroded by some few selfish political imposters from Luo-land into an almost empty shell run by and at the mercy of hopeless and myopic political brokers and their hired goons and we’ve wept until we ...

Sudan President Al-Bashir ICC Case Was Not Properly Investigated

A regional Non-Governmental Organisation has moved to the International Criminal Court seeking to file a case alleging impropriety in the case against Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir. The Pan African Forum through its chairman David Matsanga alleges that the Bashir case was not properly investigated and has documented alleged misconduct on the part the prosecution. Bashir, who is the only sitting head of state with ICC warrant of arrest, is charged as an indirect co-perpetrator, with 10 counts of crimes against humanity allegedly committed between 2003 and 2008 in the Darfur region. The first warrant for his arrest was issued on March 4, 2009, the second on July 12, 2010. None of the warrants have been enforced. An attempt by activists to have him arrested when he travelled to Kenya to attend the promulgation of the Constitution in August 2010 drew mixed reactions, but he eventually flew back home. Matsanga told Capital FM News that he has already sought leave of The Hague-based cour...
