KENYA is known as the land of serial Entrepreneurs. The men and women in business demonstrate remarkable resilience in times of the most brutal of economic turbulence. They never give up.Every time their businesses are faced with these economic threats ,Kenyans will always rise up and unleash even more innovative strategies to rescue their livelihoods and the national economy.
THE big question has always been what happens to these innovative instincts in relation to our political lives? What makes us perennially reluctant to unleash these innovative talents in the political arena? I think the answer lies in the false beliefs that politics is to be separated from Economy and business. This is an unfortunate delusion. If anything you need to fix your politics before you think about the economy. This situation has also been compounded by our primitive habit of placing a big premium on the tribe !
TODAY I want to argue that Kenya will never achieve its socio-economic objectives as contained in Vision 2030 unless the young people train all their collective innovative talents to radically change our politics.
