4 WAYS YOU CAN BE MORE PRODUCTIVE AND STAND OUT AT WORK

The key to getting promotions and excelling at work is standing out and productivity. People often make the error of thinking it’s only a consequence of luck and being close to the bosses. Well, perhaps those work sometimes, but oftentimes, nobody cares unless you give them a reason to. Employers don’t like wasting money, but they’re humans too. What this implies is that they will not see you put in so much effort and prove you’re deserving of a promotion, and deny it you. So how do you seamlessly standout in your work place?   PUT TALENT TO WORK Obviously, you were employed because of what you can do (skills), but that’s not all you can offer. Inside every one of us, there is a God-given talent. You only need to look within, and see how it can be useful to your organisation. Some people are gifted at negotiating, others at persuading — whatever it is, it can be useful to your organisation, so reach for it, and show your company you are more than just who they employed.   TRY NO

4 WAYS YOU CAN RID YOURSELF OF THAT ADDICTION

Addiction is a product of developing an attachment to something or someone over time. It’s usually not easy to let go once you’re hooked, but it’s not impossible. I’m going to share some practical ways to handle addiction in any area of life.   MAKE THE DECISION TO STOP The first step on your journey to being free of your addiction is actually taken on the inside. You have to develop a will, find a reason to quit whatever addiction you’re into. This helps to keep you focused on the task of getting free.   GET RID OF POSSIBLE TEMPTATIONS Now that you’ve got the inspiration and determination to be free, the next step is to get rid of all the clutter that creates a suitable environment for you to engage in the activity. For example, if you’re addicted to porn, get rid of all adult magazines and erotic movies. If you surf the web for pornographic content, installing software that block adult sites/adverts is also recommended. If you’re looking to quit binging, you should get rid of

SIX-Ways MEN Can Escape Poverty.

1. Leave Naked Women Alone: Yes, those women who dress like they are in the process of undressing but they have not finished. Leave them alone. Most of them are up to no good and will only cost you a whole fortune in one weekend. Instead, get yourself a real woman: There is strength in a real woman.. Not these tuma chics without brain . Get a woman who will not only support your vision but will also push you to achieve more. A woman who will inspire you to work hard and not a woman who just makes you hard. He who finds a real woman finds a good thing and obtains favour and power to create wealth. 2. Stop Taking Cheap Food : I have no problem with having a Your Tea or food over the for social interaction and networking. However, when you drink cheap Tea or drink in Cheap place , you hang out with cheap people who have cheap ideas and a cheap future. Big business opportunities are found in places where the drinks are expensive. Infact, in places where they sale cheap Tea, the only peop

Money mistakes you should avoid

MISTAKE 1 Never borrow money that accrues interest to start a business . That is to say, never borrow money to start a business expecting that the business will generate income to pay back the borrowed money plus the interest. MONEY MISTAKE 2 Never spend money you haven't received. Don't even promise someone money based on a promise you have from someone else. If someone tells you: "Ezra, come to my office tomorrow at 9am and pick #30K"don't go out to buy items on credit based on this promise, with the hope that you will pay off your creditor when the promised money comes; it may not come as promised and this will leave you in problems with your creditors. MONEY MISTAKE 3 If you want to save, whenever you receive money, don’t start spending hoping that you’ll save what remains. Normally what remains is zero because as long as money to spend is available, the numerous things you can spend it on are also available. And things to spend on even incite their 'rela

Opinion: Why it’s a perilous time to be a journalist in Kenya

By Larry Madowo It was Tuesday January 30 and I was in the NTV Kenya control room producing our coverage of opposition leader Raila Odinga’s mock swearing-in when an off-air monitor in the gallery suddenly went dark. ‘Karimi, what’s happening?’ I demanded of an engineer nearby. He shook his head in utter bewilderment and ran out to check. The previous Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta had reportedly asked TV stations not to televise live the symbolic inauguration by the National Super Alliance, (NASA) or they risked getting shut and he had just made good on that threat. Besides NTV, transmitters for the privately owned Citizen TV, Inooro TV and KTN News had also been switched off in the most aggressive anti-media move by a Kenyan government in more than two decades. The Interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i spun it as a pre-emptive measure after “credible and incontrovertible intelligence” that the opposition had planned “a massacre of catastrophic proportions” that it intende

Nobody can imprison your mind

An old farmer wrote a letter to his son in prison. "Son, this year I will not plant cassava and yam because I can't dig the field, I know if you were here you would have helped me". The son replied his father "Dad don't even think of digging the field because that's where I buried the money I stole". The POLICE & PRISON'S on reading this letter went early in the morning and dug the whole field in search of the money but nothing was found. The next day the son wrote his father again "Dad you can now plant your cassava and yam this is the best I can do from here." Dad replied "Hahaaa my son, you are too powerful indeed, even in prison you still command police men to work for me. I was so surprised to see the IGP and his team holding hoes and shovels, digging my farm. I will write to you when I want to harvest." 😃😃😄 MORAL LESSON🎯 : Nobody can imprison your mind. Don't laugh alone. Share with others
