How often do you wash your towel? Some people wash once a week, while some, once a year. The towel is a fertile breeding ground for millions of microbes, especially those found on human skin and on the gut. No wonder the towel is one of the objects that facilitate fecal-oral contamination (literally connecting the two ends of the gut). Worse still, most people keep towels in the bathroom (near the toilet). Every flush of the toilet sends mist with millions of microbes, ranging from H.pylori, salmonella and other deadly bacteria and viruses. When you wash your hands ready for a meal, and dry them with your body towel, there's high chance you are directly ingesting your fecal matter, or, if in a shared lavatory, someone else's faeces. Unless cleaned well, viruses such as human papillomavirus (causes warts, anal cancer and cervical cancer) can be transmitted when towels are shared with infected individuals. So, what to do? 1. And reflecting on several things around it...
How dangerous it is to walk in spiritual blindness.....
One of the biggest warnings Apostle Paul gave was on the dangers of walking in spiritual blindness....
1 Corinthians 9:26, NIV: "Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air."
Getting to know what is going on in the spiritual realm before setting off for physical activities should be one of the most important things.......
What happens in the spiritual realm affects what happens in the physical...
Prayer, fasting and meditation on the Word of God are some of the most important things, one should do before embarking on anything....
This is one concept that was deeply ingrained in the African society before the Word of God came.
In my journeys to Lake Turkana looking for fish - around 2008 and 2009, I got to learn how deep some of the spiritual issues were... I interacted with several communities.... And discovered that in almost all, there was a clan of prophets and seers.... Right from the Sebei, the Pokot, the Turkana, the Merile and Borana...
I was amazed at how much power they had over affairs. At times you could not go to the lake for five days, waiting for directions from the seers...
Even among the Luos, many do not know why in every corner of Luo Nyanza, there are people from Alego... This is because many of the seers were from Alego, and before going to war or capturing territory, the warriors had to wait for direction from the seers....
In short, what you see on the physical is just a manifestation of what is going on in the spiritual realm......
Those who reign and succeed in life know this secret.... Those who fail or live average lives of struggling do not know this.....it's that simple...
The worst tragedy in life is to walk Fwaaa, shagalabagala......
That is why every morning, i wake up early to seek out the direction from God. I wake up to ask for guidance, protection and provision....
Many times, I've faced situations that look impossible... I have faced debts that look insurmountable... I've seen family crises that look devastating....
But as long as the I get the confirmation that it is well, I usually sleep like a baby... And smile through storms...... Because I know the truth... And the storms, delays, and waves can't shake my faith....
If you are facing a storm... Ask God to open your eyes. Walk through the waves with confidence.. Knowing that He is faithful that promised....
