Kombo is said to have been caught red handed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials bribing voters at Chogoyi Primary School in Bungoma during his campaigns contrary to the Elections Act. Kombo and his campaign team were forced to flee the scene very first leaving a car behind to avoid being arrested or victimized. Kombo flee towards the school gate which the locals closed to bar him from escaping but his goons broke the fence and sneaked him out. If the IEBC officials managed to get evidence including photos and video footage of Kombo dishing out money in the campaigns, then he will be disqualified from contesting the seat-the move would be Moses Wetangula’s greatest Kenya@50 gift
