SIGNS YOUR LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL AND YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW

There’s this constant attitude of man to always want more, and this attitude has made man a moving force – and this has been man’s blessing and curse.
This force of wanting more has made it difficult for many people to appreciate life and the beautiful thing(s) going on in their life.
If you have these things in your life, then you have a really beautiful life:
1. LIFE
When there’s life, there’s hope and hope is something a lot of people don’t have. When you come to the realisation that life is a gift you didn’t pay a dime for, you’ll love and appreciate life the more.
2. A ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD
You might not know the importance of having a roof above your head and food on your table until you are left without one. Millions of people around the world are in this state, and having a roof over their head will give them great joy. This is to show that we take certain things for granted. The fact that you are reading this article proves some things – that you are learned (many people can’t read or write), you have a bed to lie on, you have a device and you have access to internet. There are people who don’t even know what these are in the 21st century. My friend, your life is beautiful but you have failed to acknowledge it.
3. FAMILY
Family comes natural; you don’t choose them, neither do they choose you. With family comes love and affection which flows naturally, a bond which cannot be explained — and the fact that you have a family is a beautiful thing. There are people who don’t even know their family; the 2016 hit movieLion, which told the story of a little boy Seroo who got lost at a little age and didn’t see his family for the next 25 years is an eye opener.
4. LOVE
Do you have someone/people you love and people who love you? Then your life is truly beautiful, because love is one of the greatest gifts you could give and receive on earth.
5. REAL FRIENDS
True friendship is hard to come by; we live in wicked times where friends betray each other. If you have loyal and true friends, then that’s a beautiful thing that not everyone can boast of.
6. A DREAM/GOAL/VISION
This is the beauty of life, when you aren’t just existing but living. Having a goal, a dream and a vision gives you hope for tomorrow, and that is a sign you have a beautiful life.
7. WHEN YOU REALISE CERTAIN THINGS AREN’T WORTH IT
Certain things like harbouring grudges, living in the past, getting frustrated, comparing your lives with others etc aren’t worth it, and when you realise this, your life will be beautiful.
At the end of the day,  having a beautiful life isn’t by what you have but by what you appreciate, because, you can never have it all; wealth and all the material things in this world are infinite and basing your life on these will kill the beauty that exists in your life.

Take care of yourself__"The first wealth is health".

By Strive Masiyiwa  A few weeks ago I went to the doctor. I will tell you what he said about my health at the end, but first read this: Twenty years ago, I arranged to meet a well-known British international businessman who invested a lot in Africa at the time. We agreed to meet for dinner at a leading hotel in London.  After a good meeting, we started to walk out of the restaurant when he suddenly collapsed in the lobby. There was total pandemonium as they rushed to get medical assistance. Being London, an ambulance arrived in minutes. I jumped in the back with him as paramedics wrestled to keep him alive. He had had a heart attack and had to have triple bypass heart surgery. Sadly he died a few weeks later. He hadn't been sick and his sudden death surprised everyone. And yet as I reflected on it, and later discussed it with a doctor friend who knew him, I realized he was very laid back about his health despite having a hectic business life. Even during our dinner...
