This is what Buuri mp has done through the jubilee administration...what has our mp done?

By Hon.Kinoti Gatobu

President Uhuru Kenyatta is an excellent leader and a great friend of mine. Meru should FCC d not blame the president but should instead vote out the political brokers in Meru who are blocking Uhuru's developments from reaching Meru. A few days after my election as an independent M.P. for Buuri, President Uhuru Kenyatta invited me to his home and I shared with him my vision for Buuri and since then he has been very supportive in helping me achieve the big vision. As Buuri M.P., these are some of the direct benefits I've brought from President Uhuru Kenyatta to Buuri since 2013. GOD willing as Meru Governor I will bring even more goodies from Uhuru Government to Meru County:
1. Tarmac road Kisima-Kibirichia-Kiirua-Ruiri Road which is under construction by China Aerotec Ltd with total length of about 50km.
2. Double number of title deeds to help title deed coverage in Buuri reach 95%. Kiirua Nkando title deeds in Buuri were issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta himself at Kiirua centre. Sirimon title deeds were issued by his lands cabinet secretary in December 2016.
3. National government funding on water especially the giant Ex Lewa borehole which yields 33,000 litres of water per hour out of solar power
4. Land mark educational projects from President Uhuru Kenyatta national government especially Timau Technical Training Institute whose construction is about 50% complete. I requested him this project when he visited Timau in 2015.
5. Personal donation of President Uhuru Kenyatta of  Ksh.1,000,000 to help construct Upendo Children's Home when he came to my wedding.
6. Key high level government appointments from Buuri including chairlady Public Service Commission, commissioner Teachers Service Commission, Ambassador of Kenya to Netherlands and Hague and several other ambassadors, County commissioner Nakuru and several other county commissioners, Ceo Higher Education Loans Board and many other top level government appointments from Buuri.
7. National Youth Service employment of 1,000 youths from Buuri.
8. Making access to the National Women Enterprise Fund by Buuri women much easier. Since 2013, Uhuru's government has issued more than 4 times the money that had been issued to Buuri women in the past. This money has been brought to Buuri by Uhuru's top government leaders including the ceo Women Enterprise Fund and in 2016 the Cabinet Secretary Cecily Kariuki came herself to Buuri Mitoone Primary grounds to issue cheques to thousands of women in Buuri to begin their own businesses.
...and a lot more.
Thanks and GOD Bless.

Take care of yourself__"The first wealth is health".

By Strive Masiyiwa  A few weeks ago I went to the doctor. I will tell you what he said about my health at the end, but first read this: Twenty years ago, I arranged to meet a well-known British international businessman who invested a lot in Africa at the time. We agreed to meet for dinner at a leading hotel in London.  After a good meeting, we started to walk out of the restaurant when he suddenly collapsed in the lobby. There was total pandemonium as they rushed to get medical assistance. Being London, an ambulance arrived in minutes. I jumped in the back with him as paramedics wrestled to keep him alive. He had had a heart attack and had to have triple bypass heart surgery. Sadly he died a few weeks later. He hadn't been sick and his sudden death surprised everyone. And yet as I reflected on it, and later discussed it with a doctor friend who knew him, I realized he was very laid back about his health despite having a hectic business life. Even during our dinner...

Mulolongo is not just a place.

Mulolongo is not just a place. It's a whole syllabus. And deep within its curriculum is a tiny street called Zambarau where meat is sold both day and night. By day, Zambarau is a heaven of nyama. Smoke rises like prayers as meat sizzles on grills. You can find it in stew, dry fry, grilled or even boiled for the toothless. But when darkness announces its arrival, the meat form changes. It’s still meat, yes, but this one is served somewhat raw. Colourful, tender and priced depending on texture, origin, and freshness. The most popular evening meat here is called pig Porko. Everyone in Zambarau street and its tributaries knows pig meat, Porko. It is well supplied, comes in different packages and is available all night till morning. On a certain Friday evening, Katomo walked into Mulolongo feeling like a tycoon. After working for three solid weeks smoothing walls in Kalangaita, the foreman finally remembered him. He was paid a full Ksh 790. Not a coin less. That evening, Kat...
