Interesting things to know about the towel

How often do you wash your towel? Some people wash once a week, while some, once a year. The towel is a fertile breeding ground for millions of microbes, especially those found on human skin and on the gut.  No wonder the towel is one of the objects that facilitate fecal-oral contamination (literally connecting the two ends of the gut).  Worse still, most people keep towels in the bathroom (near the toilet). Every flush of the toilet sends mist with millions of microbes, ranging from H.pylori,  salmonella and other deadly bacteria and viruses. AMERU DECLARATION

BY PETER MBOROKI In times of crisis like these people have to come together to address what is ailing them. We people of Meru are in crisis. While we acknowledge that the geographical expanse called Kenya that was created by the British irregularly in 1920 is legitimate, we do affirm that we the people of Meru have certain inalienable rights that should never be taken away from us. We however feel remorseful that the current government has taken to itself the task of attempting to destroy and disenfranchise the Meru people economically and socially. Never before have we faced the challenges that we have. Never before have we confronted the challenge of having our sources of livelihood including Miraa and tea face a clear existential threat like we are experiencing at present. We are sending Uhuru Kenyatta and his government a very clear and strong message, that wearing military fatigue garb will never intimidate those who produced the freedom fighters who liberated this country from European imperialism. If our ancestors fought the white imperialists, who is Uhuru Kenyatta to subject us to Kenyatta imperialism. Its time for Ameru to stand up! Its time to stand up for who you are!
