Former Presidential candidate‚ Martha Karua ‚ has lambasted Uhuru Kenyatta over the sacking and subsequent arrest of a senior Government officer who abused him in a bar in Lamu. Donald Avunde‚ a senior Forestry Officer who hails from Busia County but works in Lamu ‚ was sacked and arrested after he allegedly abused President Uhuru Kenyatta while drunk during a debate in one of the popular pubs in Lamu. His interdiction caused uproar among fellow civil servants in Lamu who faulted Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government of bringing back the KANU regime where no one could question the President. On her twitter account‚ Karua faulted Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee Government saying the senior officer did nothing wrong because he was just expressing his freedom of expression which is enshrined in the Constitution. Karua demanded that the Jubilee Government makes public the utterances made by Avunde which warranted his arrest and sacking. Here is her tweet; Karua#Criticismhowever harsh not an offence‚ let words allegedly uttered by forestry officer in Lamu be made public
