Janet Mwikali: Mpeketoni exposes Uhuru The Clueless

By Janet Mwikali-White Clueless Kenyan President is at it again. “President” Uhuru Kenyatta, who was installed as President after a manipulated electoral process, has now decided to politicize the fight on Terrorism. This man has lost the moral high ground to continue governing Kenya. Uhuru whose colorless and incompetent Cabinet Secretary for Security was heckled and jeered by the victims of Mpeketoni terror attack, is at pains to deflect the Al-Shabaab menace inwards, by branding it an act of ethnic genocide. Uhuru is himself a genocide suspect currently risking incarceration at the ICC for the 2007/8 violence in which he is accused of financing a terror network in which Kalenjin homes were torched, and Luos circumcised without anesthesia using blunt objects, then left to bleed to death. Even before he became president, Uhuru’s incompetence both as Shepherd of Kenya’s economy was in doubt both locally and internationally. Columnists like Makau Mutua, Rashid Wanjala, Sospeter Otieno, Rasnah Warah, Maina Kiai, all wrote voluminous pieces warning Kenyans against the evils that would befall Kenyans residing in an Uhuruto State. Now the Government propaganda machine is telling Kenyans that the acts of terror at Mpeketoni have nothing to do with Al Shabaab. Could it be why the thugs continue to kill people even in the presence of the entire state security apparatus with Ole-Lenku himself on the ground? The days of blaming everything on Raila are here with us. When it’s a Luhya Baby Osinya, it’s an act of terror. When it’s the Kimanis and the Mwangis bombed or killed, then it’s an act of genocide or ethnic cleansing orchestrated by the ongoing political activities. Isn’t this profiling- reverse tribalism instigated from State House itself? A famous Kenya Today columnist accurately predicted that a Kenyatta-Ruto “presidency would be a disaster that is predictable but (was) within our reach to mitigate”. He continued to add that “Uhuru Kenyatta and William Samoei Ruto should put the children, youth, the poor and the suffering of this country before self, and decide to suspend their presidential ambitions”. Well you know the electoral manipulation that ensued and they went ahead to become the ruling duo under very dubious circumstances. And now, look at Kenya, there is crisis everywhere. Boko Haram like terrorism is in our midst. And on Sunday night, about 50 people were slaughtered as the government watched. And now the excuse they are giving is that Safaricom lines were jammed. That’s Ole Lenku playing safe. The ball is now on Safaricom to confirm or deny whether no calls emanated from the co-ordinates within which Mpeketoni is situated. Otherwise it is part of a government ploy to cover up the ills of this government. Kenya Today also predicted accurately that a broke Uhuru regime would institute “budget cuts- that would reduce the KDF into a ragtag militia, mediocre to even a 4 man Navy Seal Team, because budget cuts would mean that the government would have to prioritize. Terrorists would flatten (Kenya)”. Well you all saw what happened at Westgate, and now Mpeketoni. Several Al- Shabaab guys just come in and invade a town, kill people indiscriminately, for hours, near an ocean manned by Kenya Navy, at a place that fighter jets or choppers launched from navy ships can arrive within minutes. Westgate was right in the middle of the City. And then they were given a corridor by the government forces to escape. And they say 4 people overwhelmed an entire army??????? Recce squad was deliberately shot by Government officers???? And Uhuru declined to institute a commission of inquiry into the West-Gate Mayhem. The Government has resorted to terrorism to control its citizen. I will tell you, as a Defense Analyst who pores through numerous intel information around the world, governments encounter tens of terror threats every day. And an evil government like Kenya’s can just decide to allow some of that threat to continue to execution. Ask yourself why the Moi’s 24 yr regime was only hit by 1998 US Embassy and Kikambala. It’s because the likes of Lazarus Sumbeiyo shepherded the NSIS into a direction of professionalism. Moi also never joked around with matters insecurity. His own security depended on the nation’s security as a whole. And so Uhuru’s poor leadership can be linked to the ongoing acts of insecurity. Truth be told, Westgate was a government orchestrated affair allowed to happen and intended to help Uhuru and Ruto find grounds to be relieved of ICC accusations so they could concentrate on fighting terror. The Mpeketoni attack was allowed to squeak through by Ole Lenku so there are grounds for finding Raila culpable of genocide so his clean image is on the same level with genocide suspects Uhuru and Ruto. They may also use it to deny Raila a certificate of Good Conduct ahead of 2017.However, Ole Lenku will not resign because he simply cannot find another job anywhere in the world. Besides being a man of meager intellect, all employers watch him on TV lie to Kenyans. He lacks honesty, when he tells Kenyans that Raila is responsible for Mpeketoni attacks. He is incompetent when he cannot see intelligence document, and device a workable security plan out of it. Employers know he isn’t a critical thinker. He won’t resign and the best Uhuru can entice him to resign is to offer him a job as a manager in one of his many hotels. Otherwise he will continue to cook “Utalii-baked” stories, which Uhuru will blindly consume. Theories like “Opposition is responsible” that make Uhuru sound a tactless propagandist. As we saw on Madaraka Day, they instead invested billions to upgrade Uhuru’s own selfish presidential security. Toyota Hilux that we saw at Uhuru Park is a pretty fragile car that would cost billions to armorize. They also paraded armored vehicles at Uhuru Park at the president’s disposal in case of terror attack- the kind of vehicles used by the US Marines in Afghanistan. And so you guys have a selfish president who puts himself first before the rest. However, inside the armored cars he isn’t safe coz even with those ones American soldiers still get amputated and/or die. And so unless we all sit down and talk, we shall all be annihilated. Dialogue is the only thing that can ameliorate the situation from deteriorating from worse to critical. And trust me this Mpeketoni thing will be hyped, because Uhuru’s tribesmen were in it. Like in 2007/8, he wants to portray himself as the Muthamaki of the House of Mumbi. To the Mafia, this is not just any other attack. Terrorists have struck at “Mumbi’s own Breast”. However, Ole Lenku won’t fight back at Al Shabaab. There’s not even a need to investigate. They will instead blame Odinga. And that’s how the war on terror has been lost. A chance for uniting the nation through national dialogue is about to elude us. And hence the theory as propagated by MP Kimani Ichung’wa et al is that Raila has been responsible for terror attacks that Al Shabaab hasn’t claimed responsibility for.
