Teachers at Central York High School had warned students to be on their best behaviour during the 25-year-old beauty champ's visit. Armed with a plastic flower, Patrick Farves clambered on the stage as Ms Davuluri's spoke at an assembly and asked her if she would be his date for the school's forthcoming prom. Amid whoops and cheers from his classmates, the beauty queen politely declined his offer. But teachers didn't see the funny side to Patrick's antics.
