Mudavadi Tells off Raila in effort to prove he is His Own Man

mmth20.jpg Mudavadi has finally grown a tail and spoken up for himself. He finally showed his true colours when he told off former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. In a hard-hitting unflinching statement, this is what Mudavadi said to Raila: “There is a polite though unwritten rule of civility in Kenyan politics that national leaders shall not engage in personalized and disparaging attacks on fellow leaders. This rule on decent politics has been observed religiously by most but inevitably and brazenly broken by Raila Odinga with character assassination and vitriol on other leaders. He has alleged that I and my colleagues in Amani Coalition are using the Bungoma by-election to gain favours from government. Raila is on record lobbying for an appointment as a mediator. Deceit and doublespeak is not attractive to me; Raila welcomes President Uhuru Kenyatta in Nyanza with open arms, but tells the people of Bungoma not to work with government. Is there a Kenyatta government for Raila and a Raila colony for the Bungoma people? Raila must know by now that the imperial disguise he wears in dividing communities in western Kenya has come to an end. A New dawn and consciousness has emerged out of the March 4 elections. He must check his condescending attitude. Raila should be the last person to condemn cooperation with any government in power. I remind Raila that he is conspicuous in embracing political cooperation deals with successive regimes and therefore has no moral ground to scold others. Whichever revisionist name maybe fashionable to Raila, NDP/Kanu, LDP/NAK, ODM/PNU under the National Accord and Cord are all forms of cooperation. Raila alleges Amani Coalition is confused. Amani has presented a united front in the Bungoma by-election unlike the discord in CORD Nobody appointed Raila to prefect and to police other political parties on how to conduct their business. I would take Raila’s pantomimes seriously were he to reflect and address the subtle but loud messages his strongholds are sending to him about pragmatic approaches to development versus illusions of greatness and political rhetoric. One cannot masquerade for ever. The image of infallibility he projects is meant to hide a tumultuous implosion in his party.”End of Statement

MOURNING THE ONLY PRINCIPAL I KNEW

By Dr.Paul Bundi Karau I arrived at Kanyakine High School on 18th February 1999 a small village boy. I had never been to a boarding school, and certainly this is the furthest from home I had ever gone. The boys who were assigned to escort me to Mungania dorm looked at my stunted height and loudly wondered how I would survive in Beast's school.  "Who is Beast?" I asked in bewilderment. "You will know." Musyoki answered curtly. It didn't take me long to know who Beast was. The following day, as the 10 o'clock tea was being served, I heard a commotion, with boys leaving their tea and running helter-skelter towards the classrooms.  I was a fresh mono, so I didn't know what was happening. I ran along the pavement, and came upon a mighty man, who appeared to be adjusting his trousers. He yanked his belt and thrust one whip towards me. I had encountered Beast himself. He was tall, imposing, burly and endowed with a thunderous voice that could re...

Political Tumbocrats

*Political Tumbocrats* A political tumbocrat is a person who hangs around elected leaders to satisfy her/his personal greed. Tumbocrats sees a leader as a demigod whom they worship. The r bootlickers and sycophants of the highest order. Their work is to defend leaders and cheat public that something is happening. A tumbocrat has no values or morals. A tumbocrat is not interested with common good but personal good. A tumbocrat has no vision but appetite for being near high table of power  and feeding on crumbs.   Tumbocrats are greatest obstacles to development in our country. They protect the corrupt and shield the bad governance in so far as they get something to fill their tumbos. They are good and articulate in arguments but they lack the moral authority because they don't value truth. Every political leader is surrounded by tumbocrats. They are the noise makers in social media and around leaders defending them. They peddle lies en create propagandas . They confuse the publ...
