Interesting things to know about the towel

How often do you wash your towel? Some people wash once a week, while some, once a year. The towel is a fertile breeding ground for millions of microbes, especially those found on human skin and on the gut.  No wonder the towel is one of the objects that facilitate fecal-oral contamination (literally connecting the two ends of the gut).  Worse still, most people keep towels in the bathroom (near the toilet). Every flush of the toilet sends mist with millions of microbes, ranging from H.pylori,  salmonella and other deadly bacteria and viruses. When you wash your hands ready for a meal, and dry them with your body towel, there's high chance you are directly ingesting your fecal matter, or, if in a shared lavatory, someone else's faeces. Somalia: Al-Shabaab ‘plotting another Westgate mall’ attack

70084710-kenyaattackers-4.jpg Somali militant group al-Shabab has threatened to carry out a similar Westgate shopping mall attack, one of the largest terrorist attacks carried out by the group. In videos and an audio posted in several websites linked to al-Qaeda terrorist network, members of the militant group said that Westgate mall attack was ”not enough’’. At least 67 people died when al-Shabab militants stormed the mall last year in September and took control it for four days. “There are still hundreds of men who are wishing for such an operation,” said the al-Shabab members who appeared in the Video recordings. They didn’t specify areas they are plotting to attack, and none of the members in the video has been named. Since the Westgate mall attack, Kenyan government has been discriminating Somali refugees, linking them to the attacks. Recently it launched a massive security crackdown in the Somali dominated suburb. Last week, al-Shabab’s spokesman condemned the recent Eastleigh security crackdown, which more than 700 Somali refugees living in the residential area have been detained by the Kenyan security forces. Kenya has been hit by a series of attacks since it sent troops to Somalia in 2011 to battle al-Shabab.
