WHY JUBILEE PARTY WAS RIGHT ON KINDIKI KITHURE OUSTER

A life in Party Politics is for people who know themselves and know where their own line is between loyalty and honesty to the Party and it's leadership. Anyone who thinks that they can take a position contrary of the Party and it's leadership simply has no knowledge of politics or government, they're probably living in unattainable utopia. The Political graveyard is full of men who chose vanity in going against the grain to instigate Rebellion against their own parties, the same vehicle they used to seek mandate. In the United Kingdom, Sir Nicholas Soames, the grandson of Britain’s World War II leader Winston Churchill, was expelled from the Conservative Party for going against Boris Johnson over Brexit. The foundation stones for a balanced success in the Political realm are Loyalty, Fidelity and Faithfulness to the ideals of the Party. Anyone who holds contrary ideas has the democracy to criticize, picket and even demonstrate, but only on one condition— They must first RE...

COVID-19 PANDEMIC: WE NEED TO CREATE MORE JOBS

Even if a vaccine for the Corona virus is discovered tomorrow & life resumes normally, a number of businesses will not open at all, while others will open partially. Jobs will be lost, resulting in increased unemployment rate. Therefore, we need to think deeply & look for new ways, new ideas to create new employment opportunities. My idea is as follows: Without doubt, SMEs will offer the most job opportunities. We Kenyans & our government need to focus on them keenly. The SMEs can be divided into 2 broad categories, i.e: a) SME Traders b) SME Manufacturers SME Traders buy manufactured products, mostly imported, to sell in Kenya. Currently, due to the worldwide COVID-19 lockdowns, their businesses are suffering. SME Manufacturers make products in Kenya. However, while one can say they are quite small in size and number, I choose to think that multiple opportunities exist to increase their size and numbers. Do you know that one manufacturing job creates 6 to 15 other jobs alo...

The most important principles to grow your body and mind.

Best Books everyone must read “Principles are fundamental truths that serve as the foundations for behavior that gets you what you want out of life,” writes investor Ray Dalio in his bestselling book, Principles. Dalio focuses on skills like decision-making, investing, and managing organizations. While reading through it, I became inspired to put together my own list of principles that I’ve devised after more than five years of interviewing and coaching elite performers in sports, business, and beyond. Like Dalio’s, these principles are a foundation for a better you. Best Books everyone must read 1. Stress + Rest = Growth Whether you want to grow your body or mind or get better at a specific skill, you need to push to the outer limits of your current ability, and then follow that hard work with appropriate recovery and reflection. Decades of research in exercise science show that this is how you get stronger and faster, and the latest cognitive science shows that this is also how you g...

The Lifesaving Food You Aren’t Eating Enough Of

Best health books everyone must read If I offered you a superfood that would make you live longer, would you be interested? Naturally it reduces the chances of debilitating heart attacks and strokes as well as life-long diseases such as type-2 diabetes. And it helps keep your weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels down. I should mention it's cheap and widely available in the supermarket. Best health books everyone must read What is it? Fiber - it's not the sexiest thing in the world but a major study has been investigating how much fiber we really need to be eating and found there are huge health benefits. "The evidence is now overwhelming and this is a game-changer that people have to start doing something about it," one of the researchers, Prof John Cummings, tells BBC News. It's well known for stopping constipation - but its health benefits are much broader than that. Best health books everyone must read How much fiber do we need? The researchers, at the...

When You Eat Breakfast and Dinner Could Affect Your Levels of Body Fat

Best weight loss guide books Waiting ninety minutes for a brunch table is annoying, but a report in the Journal of Nutritional Science indicates that doing so has the potential to be a promising weight loss technique. Moving back breakfast and dinner time, they show, can have profound effects on the way your body processes meals, akin to the effects of intermittent fasting. Research like this, the authors say, sheds light on new ways of effective dieting. It turns out that what you eat is deeply intertwined with when you eat it. For the 2018 study, published online in the Journal of Nutritional Science, a team of professors from the University of Surrey’s Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences show that you don’t have to become a disciple of the intermittent fasting dogma to reap the benefits of what they call “time restricted feeding” (TRF). The team asked ten individuals to delay breakfast by 90 minutes and eat dinner 90 minutes earlier than usual. Results revealed that all those who...

It's Time to Live on a Budget

There are two big unknowns in all of our lives right now: What’s going to happen with the COVID-19 pandemic, and what it will mean for the economy. If we enter a post-pandemic recession (or are already in a mid-pandemic recession), what will that mean for our jobs and livelihoods—and what should we be doing financially to prepare?  Some of us are already having to rethink our spending habits to make ends meet. Others may feel more financially secure thanks to high salaries, six-month emergency funds or the ability to work remotely. But when recessions come, they tend to come for everybody—so it’s time for all of us to reevaluate our budgets and, potentially, start saving as much as we can. Here are three pieces of advice to get you started: What Today's GDP Numbers Mean for the Economy The latest report on the state of economy has that dreaded word popping up again: recession. Treat your income like it’s temporary I’ve written about this before, but it’s an important reminder: What...

What a Man Needs (and Does Not!) in a Relationship

Relationships are a fragile thing. They take a lot of understanding and even more work in order to make them successful and healthy. There are a million websites that offer advice for women; how to improve their self-esteem, how to do the right thing in a relationship, and a litany of other things. But what isn’t asked often is what a man needs in a relationship and the things that he does not. Men are not as vocal about their wants or feelings as women are and it can sometimes be difficult to know just what a man might want in a relationship. This helpful list will provide a look from a man’s perspective and give you an idea of the things that you need to do and not do in a relationship, keeping it healthy and on good ground for a long time. Men need understanding One of the very worst things for a man in a relationship is to feel as though they are not understood. Take, for instance, a situation where a man is doing all he can to be helpful in a stressful situation. There might not b...
